Adding a Turbo to the 2510

Branson says cast iron for castings, would prefer cast steel for sure, that way if anything does break or get damaged it can be welded with mig or even stick and 7018 versus brazed

not sure what other tractor makers are using.

JD using Aluminum for the rear housing on some smaller e series would be a non starter for me

Show me one that broke, doing what? Show me a manufacturer using cast steel.

Never seen a broken cast iron case in person. I did attempt to build up a broken off ear of a Buick 3.8 cast iron engine block with some pricey specialty rod. So far so good. Repair went well and is still intact.

Personally think that Branson has No competition on the new 2515 (hydro or gear) as far as weight, features and specs on a $ basis.

NONE.

Also

Really Liked the 3015h .when we test drove it..

when the time comes Branson will be in the running for sure,

I like Heavy- so a 20 or 25 series is what I will be checking out

Did not mean to derail the thread

OP any progress on the Turbo idea?

I'm curious about the OP's idea, too, especially after putting a deposit on a '17 2400H this weekend! It'll be my first tractor and I can't wait to get some seat time on it by bush hogging, digging and grading the 12 acres we close on this week.

Hey congrats on the new place and the new tractor.

Put up some pics of both when you get them.

We like tractor pics.

:D

Good day, TCOMT: Noy yet, still need to get a 2510. I have a Deere 1025R FILB I bought new in 2014 that is kind of small for pulling my 6' soil pulverizer and I haven't a need for the backhoe any longer as I have a mini Excavator now. So the plan was to get back into a branson (my first tractor was a 2012 2800H) but didn't want to settle for the 24 hp kukje after having the 28hp. So anyway it does seem like there is a viable path, I just need to get the Deere sold (nice with only 240 hours - just about to do the 250 hr service) and then head down to dave's and get the 2510.

Thanks will keep this thread updated when things progress.

Greetings yet again TXCOMT:

Best laid plans again - Sold the 1025R FILB and ended up selling the Yanmar B25 Mini Excavator to buy a Deere 110 TLB from another parent at my son's school that came up. There was a number of years I was looking far and wide for one of these with 3 rear SCV, Aux hydraulics on BH as well as 3rd function on the loader. It fell into my lap so I jumped on it. Now I pull a 7' harley rake instead of the old 6' soil pulverizer. The 110 will run it but I'd like to have a little more PTO hp so I can keep a consistant speed without bogging down as well as obtain cruise control. So long story short I'm looking at a branson 5835R or Yanmar YT359 Cab to replace the 110 TLB and then after that perhaps a turbo'd 2610 will be in the future for the smaller chores / mowing to replace my Deere 330 and 316 Garden tractors.

Sounds like a good plan! Still, I wish I was reading about your turbo install right now...would致e been a sweet project!
