Yes, the green stands out and is really visible. I don't why the camera would not pick it up. I tried with and without the lights on in the pole barn.

Maybe the segments in the display are strobed by the display driver. Of course our eyes would integrate that and look continuous in the way a movie looks like continuous action when it is really just 24 frames a second stop motion.

------ I have attached pics although I am not sure why the camera did not pick up the voltage when on.-----------------------------
The camera did pick it up, it also got the other segments, maybe due to reflected light.

I see 12.5, the ones that are lit show up slightly wider.

On my picture, which shows up a little better, I "doctored" the picture, trying different filters and contrast controls until I got tired of playing with the picture and just posted it.

I added one to my Branson 2400h. It is round, though works great. Tied it into the cruise control fuse so it is only on when the tractor is on. I have attached pics although I am not sure why the camera did not pick up the voltage when on. Also added a 12v outlet, which is tied to a fuse block attached to the battery.

Where did you get the gage? Nice job too!

Thanks for the compliment. I took my time and made sure I had clearance behind the panel. I was nervous as if I screwed up I would have a nice hole to figure out how to fix.

I used a hole saw and drilled a hole in a piece of wood first to ensure that I had the correct size, after all wood is cheap.

I got it at Amazon.com

Coromose 12V-24V Car Motorcycle LED DC Digital Display Voltmeter Waterproof Meter (Green) $4.95 plus $1.00 shipping. Of course it is a long ship time but for the price.

They have it in blue as well. I thought the green would stand out more.

I like the round style- would be easier to install than the rectangular ones I have put in. Installing them is an easy and cheap mod that is potentially very useful.

Oh, and after looking at the blue one, I decided to buy it as a backup. At the price why not?

Here is the one I added a while back.
