I had recently started a thread on the general forums in regards to the utility and advantages of having 3 rear hydraulic remotes. Initially I couldn't think of many reasons to have that many remotes; but now, after reading about TnT systems, I would definitely want 3 remotes. I am looking at the M8540 for purchase very soon. This tractor comes standard with one set of rear remotes with the option of 2 or 3. The tractor on my dealer's lot has two sets of rear remotes. I can see the location on the block where a 3rd set would be located if there were three.
My question is . . .

Is adding rear remotes to the M-series tractors something that can be done post-production by a dealer or is it only possible as a factory-installed option?

Perhaps some of the Kubota dealers or new owners of M-series tractors whom have gone through this ordeal have some information.

Thanks!!!:)

I believe it is a propriatary stackable valve set, similar to the L-series. According to my literature for the older M-series, thay are dealer installable options. This being the case, your dealer should be able to order the third remote valve kit and install it.

yes this a dealer installed option. The dealer installed two on mine for a total of three valves. He also installed the front fel mounted valve and outlets and rear windshield wiper plus the airsuspension seat

I believe that you can install two sets for the TnT, and simply unplug one when you need to use a remote for another function. Presumably, a pull behind implement that needs hydraulics is not used simultaneously with the 3pt TnT setup.

Yeah, but I'm too lazy to go disconnecting and reconnecting things!;) I want three! That way I can have two hooked up for TnT functions and a 3rd for implement hydraulics. I eventually plan to get a box blade with hydraulic scarifiers. In that case I would need one remote for the scarifiers, one for top link, and one for tilt. . .for a total of three!! I'm glad it is a dealer installable option. I will definitely ask my dealer to put it on. I am already going to get him to put a third function valve on the loader for a grapple. I can't wait!!!! I'm losing my patience waiting on my tractor!!!
