Got em in and on! They are wonderfull! Was out last night hooking up the rear blade - what an improvement! For those that are interested - $245 - well worth it - dealer has also indicated that I can get some $ back for the ones that came on the tractor- that will help.

GVW,
Congratulations,... it's good to hear you like them so well!
I'd be very interested in hearing what they credit you with for the "non-adjust" original links, if you don't mind saying ( LHSmith@wvi.com ).

My dealer hasn't offered anything so far /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif , but my tractor is still being outfitted.

Thanks /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Sorry to revive an old thread but I am a new owner of a JD 4500 with about 2675 hours and was looking to purchase the adjustable draft links to make it easier to swap between my rotary mower and chain harrow. Based on other's experiences from reading some of the posts, I was hoping they would cost around $200-$300 for the set. I asked my dealer and all he could come up with was a listing for the right and left sides individually (LVA10608 and LVA10609) at $850 EACH!! Even on-line, the best I could find was $650 each so $1,300 for the pair. Am I missing something? Any ideas for me? I am new to this so I appreciate any help.

When I bought the 110tlb in 2005 I ordered the topntilt hydraulic 3ph option which came in with fixed link ends. What a pain to hook up to a heavy clevis style box blade. Fast forward to 2009 and when purchasing my 4520 I ordered two sets of the telescopic lift arms about 300 plus for each set. Since I installed the extras on my tractor myself I wound up with the two fixed lift arm sets to put away and the two telescopic arm sets installed on the tractor.

Might ask the dealer to order a set of telescopic lift arms for you through whole goods on the next 4000 series purchase he makes. That would bring the cost to you down to about 400 to 500 if he is willing to help you.

Perhaps Pat's Quick Hitch would be a better option. I got mine a few months ago and am amazed at how much easier it makes changing implements. That's even with the extendable 3 point arms on my DK35 (which I never need to use with the Quick Hitch) .

Thanks for those ideas! I had not heard of the dealer's whole goods program (like I said, this is all new to me) so I will definitely ask them if they are willing to do that.

Pat's Quick Hitch also looks very interesting and quite easy to use. I will have to look at that a bit more to see if I would have to replace the pto shaft for my mower and my top link due to the extra length it adds.

I appreciate the advice!

Look at the I match quick hitch too. About 335 or so then buy quick hitch implements as you add on.
