Box Scraper Adjusting Three Point Hitch for new Box Blade

the side link turnbuckles are for tilting the implement if needed. normally they will be level.

if it won't drop all the way.. disconnect 3rd link and see if it is limiting movement.

My top turn buckle is the one that seems to tilt the box blade, also my lower right linkage stretched and broke when I tried scrapeing.

the toplink is to set how deep the impement diggs and to level it you need to set the turn buckles even on each side i think the reason you broke turnbuckle it was not adjusted evenly from side to side

If I get a shorter top link. Will it dig deeper?

more angle with shorter toplink.. thus more agressive..

I want more depth but level . How do you make the box blade go lower.I HAVE IT SET LEVEL NOW BOTH SIDE DRAG LINKS ok but it seems it just does not go down as far as it should. Thanks for info

a box blade digs as you make it agressive. to make it agressive you have to change it's angle on it's cutting edge.

this is a cake/eat it too issue.

the blade will dig some when level.. but mostly it drags and moves dirt when level.. and digs with some angle.

I make the lift ARM linkages uneven a little bit when working on the driveway so that it puts a little crown in it. For smoothing I lengthen the toplink so that the rear of the box hits the ground first and smooths the surface. Kind of like battering bread. Sorry for the analogy. The wife says I relate everything to food. Those tips I learned from the GREAT teachers at TBN University.
