I got it again this morning. Clear your internet browsing cache and log back in to TBN. It should go away.

Mine went away after a few days without any action on my part. The ironic thing though is when I just clicked to open this thread it sent me to a McCaffe (sp?) site, warning me that my subscription had expired. Funny thing is that I've never had any of their products.

yes, only on this site, fake firefox update, fake McAffee. If I leave a tab sit, some of them convert to these spam pages.

I was getting the fake ads as well but not lately. This however started just a few days ago. Home Depot ad as big as my screen. You have to scroll to get back to what you were reading. This morning I have to scroll through the ad twice.

I don't mind normal ads but this is a little ridiculous.

I thought only Android gave a full page ad with every click.

I also gave up ad-blockers years ago when guys complained about ads here on TBN.

Now I only see TBN's sponsored ads in a strip at the top of the page. (Google teaser BS with cleavage/hints is at the bottom as expected, but so what?)

I ordered stuff online from HD this Summer, ship to store & ship to home. No spurious spam or pop-ups since. (I never ask for internet receipts.)

Are we clearing our browser cache as often as we could?

I cleared mine like 5 time yesterday and this morning. I will say I have not had the ad in the last few hours, but just checking in from time to time while working.

I don't get ads. EVER
I just use Ad Blocker & Ad Blocker+
No worries
If one does slip by, all that is needed is to click on the icon then the ad &
POOF...it's gone.

No ads whatsoever here, that is IF you are running FireFox ESR and Privacy Badger. Nothing from Google and nothing else either.

All those ads once bothered me and made the computer fan go into overdrive. Not anymore.

Some also say Ghostery for the PC and the smarty phones works way better than ad blockers.

I got my first pop-ups today, HD creeping up from the bottom. I ran Bitdefender Free and it found nothing.

If I returned to ad-blocking I'd go with ABP or Ghostery again and whitelist TBN to get through if or after I could catch and block stuff like I saw today.

When it started for me was soon after clicking a Youtube link in a post elsewhere on TBN and the two times were both while navigating the site in the same tab. (Win 7 Ult, Firefox, Gmail acct)

I suspect Google or YT might have been hitched a ride on by ad spam. btw, no recurrence with this tab open for many hrs now, and I'm here in the same tab. :2cents:

I don't know how to do a screenshot, but now with my iPhone the Home Depot ads are splitting my TBN page so that all I can see is one post at a time, and the HD ad takes over the entire page as I scroll down through a thread.

That is exactly what was happening to me. After clearing my history and data several times and being frustrated several days it finally stopped. Not really sure why it stopped but I sure am glad it did.
