Advantages of moving to the L60 Grand series

We have two big K dealerships within 20 miles of me. Both currently have about 25-35 new tractors in stock as well as numerous accessories. Also got a firm quote for $37K (cash) from one dealer and $36,500 from another dealer before any negotiations.
At this point can say the only way I'll buy a Kioti or Mahindra is if they offer a very similar model for at least $2K less.

When I got my brand new 2006 the biggest seller was improved hydraulic capacities both flow and pressure, as well as fel lift, and I never regreted it.

Kubota will also hold its value, I lost mine in the fires last year and wanted to replace it with a similar tractor but they seem to be trading at 90+% of what I paid with dealer incentives and harvest rental return discount, not to mention new comes with 5 years of free money!

Just to update. No longer interested in this tractor. The Kioti NX4510 has the same basic features for $4,000 less. And the dealer is only 1 mile away from the Kubota guys.

Visited the Kubota dealer yesterday and briefly talked prices and was quoted a "rough ball park" of $37K for the HST model with backhoe. Sat down and looked around, played with a few controls. Seems to be a good fit for me. Am still shooting for $35K and now will look for comparable Kioti and Mahindra models.

Time will tell but must admit the L4060 is everything I am looking for.

I purchased my M7060HD12 this past February. The dealers are slow during the winter period and have more time to spend on your deal. The mechanics assembling your tractor will also have more time for their job too. If you can I would time the purchase to coincide with the seasonal sales slump.

fallacy - no work so mechanics are laid off. or maybe the part time/newbies are that are hired during the summer.

Spent 12 years in a motorcycle/powersports dealership and the newbies do the assembly - it's pretty simple stuff. the 'old' experienced techs are paid more and do the customer (paid) work, and of course warranty work.

Winter..not much business so not many workers, garage is cold so no fun to work in there, lots of misc work/distractions. And the 'experienced' guys don't like doing the 'newbie' work of assembly - they don't read the manuals and such on it...they 'know how to do it' .. true or not, that's the attitude.

the summer newbies are handed the book and follow the directions. often do it better.

I can't speak to Kioti, but I looked at TYM & LS a fair bit. The 1 Korean dealer in Colorado is 2 hours away & didnt impress me, a major reason I went Kubota again. Not to mention a couple hours away rather than 15 & 30 minutes for Kubota dealers. Also they only had 2-3 Kiotis on the lot vs a pile of TYM & LS.

The engineering on the Korean machines wasnt quite as good as on Kubota (or JD for that matter). Lots of little things like hard to access service spots (filters, dipsticks, etc.). Not bad by any means, just not as polished as the tier 1 guys. They seemed to be a generation or 2 behind Kubota. JD had a much smoother HST, Kubota has the 2 speed HST+. None of the Korean machines had any GST or PowerShift type transmissions.

They do give some decent features for the price, which is noticeably less than Kubota or JD.

It sounds to me like you are uncomfortable with that question. That didn't occur to me; I wouldn't be.
I see this as a forum where we try to help each other. And that much difference in price struck me as being just as important to discuss as transmissions or horsepower.

I have no interest in talking to your dealers. I'm not the one looking to buy a tractor.
What I was doing was attempting to give you the benefit of my 50+ years of tractor experience.

Fallacy...

Well, my Kubota dealer and most successful businesses must be the exception. The experienced mechanic put my tractor together and spent a half hour with me going over the tractor. I've run a plumbing business for 30 years, if I laid off my experienced journeymen during seasonal dips I wouldn't have lasted 5 years and yes bidding is lowered when work is slower.
