Idee? Altezza utile sotto il gancio 3,50 metri, larghezza 4 metri, capacità tre tonnellate. Qualche suggerimento utile online, ho trovato alcuni video didattici, grazie

I recommend gantry crane frame for hoist or DIY monorail for shed

Hi, I've been thinking about equipping my shed with a gantry crane to use in case I need to move heavy weights or load bulky items onto the bed of a vehicle or into the bed of my trailer. Ideas? Useful height under the hook 3.50 metres, width 4 metres, capacity three tonnes. Some helpful tips online, I found some instructional videos, thanks

I've worked in several shops with DIY hoists like these. Problems were related to wheels too small, and short wheelbase.

Use large wheels far apart.

One of the auto wrecking yards around here has hoists using compact spares from cars for wheels. It works well on gravel.

I never liked the roll around cranes like that for several reasons. They take up a bunch of room, are cumbersome to move around on rough ground, and need 2 people to use effectively. I used one in a machine shop for loading parts and angle plates onto small boring bars for machining. The concrete floor was getting chewed up from the metal wheels. All other shops had moving overhead cranes or single post jib hoists. I installed a fixed 2 post 2 ton hoist in my building. Instead of moving the crane, I move the vehicle. It has worked for me.

I have an IR air operated 2 ton hoist running on an I beam that runs the length of the main shop. I use it all the time. Great for oil changes on motorcycles, no more bending over. I use fabric machinery slings to hoist them up to eye level. I prefer air over electric just because I have plenty of compressed air available.

I see Harbor Freight offers a gantry crane package.

Get a used one of these with side shift for the same cost as a gantry crane. You will thank me later.

Not a bad idea actually but if I ever got one, would have to have other than solid rubber tires. I load and unload trucks at the shop but I use one of my M9000 Kubota's with the SSQA forks on the loader arms. Solid rubber tires are instant stuck on gravel or loose dirt. We don't have a loading dock anyway so everything gets side loaded and unloaded. Steel deliveries are the big PITA simply because of the weight of the steel but so far, the M9's have handled it.

If for some reason I had to load or unload something beyond the lift capabilities of them, the farmer down the road has a BIG JLG telehandler I can borrow and my SSQA fork set fit on his JLG.

I need it to load the wagon without unhooking it from the tractor for safety reasons and stability of the tractor trailer convoy, am I wrong as a precaution? underneath I will lay a concrete screed to make the surface harder and more compact and increase the load-bearing capacity of the ground. sorry for the translation I'm not very good greetings
