Advice on Back-Blade to FEL mount for snow removal?

/ Advice on Back-Blade to FEL mount for snow removal? #21
I just mounted an old back blade to my FEL bucket. I haven't had enough snow to really test it but I did do a dry run and the jury is still out on if I like it or not. I added two trailer jacks with a wheel on both sides of the blade to easily adjust the height. The jacks were cheaper than plow shoes + material to mount the shoes. I'll try to get some pics later.

Maybe they're making equipment a lot cheaper nowadays but the only thing I ever remember breaking was a 3 pt top link, while trying to push over a stump. Even then it let loose at the weakest point, the end of the thread. One of our operators did manage to bend the cutting edge of a loader bucket one time though. He was carrying curb forms on top of the bucket with it curled all the way down when it caught on something and put about a 4-5 inch dish in the bucket. Ruined the bucket for grading but it was great for cutting swales.
