Is it normal for AG type qd's to drip a little at the female ball seal?

Not a constant drip. You'll get a wee bit of fluid when disconnecting but only if you've shut the tractor down, relieved the pressure on the hydraulic lines, then disconnect and put in the rubber cap.

I wouldn't recommend disconnecting whilst the tractor is running or you'll spray more fluid.

Ya, they shouldn't leak when connected or disconnected. However they fill up with leaked fluid when connecting & more so when disconnecting. It oozes & drips out for a while after that.

The QDs that have a ball for a shutoff will drip all the time, at least mine do. They have no O ring to seal them. The kind with a plunger instead of a ball have an O ring inside that seals the plunger so they don't drip. Others may have had a different experience.

Thanks, I am finding this to be true. I built a small tray to catch the drips until I can upgrade.

I've used these QC fittings both the ISO b and flat faced, very affordable and holding up well for me. FYI, the flat faced QC's are nice since they have virtually zero fluid loss on disconnect. Great if you connect/ disconnect regularly.
