Tires AG TIRES

The thing i like best about the prospect of purchasing new tires is the clearence issue along with better traction than the turfs. the issue of tearing up drive train components makes me think?

I can't help but wonder if the clearance issue would change a lot, even if the ag tires were a little taller. The reason is that the narrower ags might dig in more, and while they would gain traction by doing so, the net result might be that the ground clearance in this case might end up being the same.

Perhaps adding some kind of skid plate would be worth considering. I certainly would (and probably will) consider one if I were running anywhere that a stick or stone might cause damage under my BX.

Fortunatly I have a larger tractor to do the dirty work before the bx gets in and does the finishing touches... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Still, a skid plate is on the list for my BX in the future...

The BX bar tires will be a major improvement over your turfs yet will still be friendly to your property. You don't need tall, skiny "AG" tires for this...the BX bars are designed for the machine and work well.

Adding wheel waits is a lower cost alternative.
