My 739cc is very similar to a Vanguard not sure if it is sleeved or not though. I only have 4 hours on it but great so far.

It was shipped with heavy oil I believe, anything around Freezing Point, it won't crank over without a Booster Pack.

Heavy Oil, No Hydraulic disconnect, any a low CCA battery

That Rato is a good looking engine. I hope its as good as the Vanguard. IMO the Vanguard is the best engine Biggs ever made.

2 weeks ago, I gave 6500 for my AGT L12, delivered and tax included. After 12 hours of use and a few improvements, I am very satisfied with my little machine. i will continue to update problems and fixes as I find them.
Access to the engine compartment is way more convenient than the H12 model. How has that worked for you? Did you get the hyd. filter installed?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!
So far. I like the L12 better than all the other models I have seen. The large rear opening is the best design,IMO.
I have the Briggs 13.5 XR, which so far, has been flawless. I am trying to find a local shop to make the hydraulic lines for my filter install. We had a Napa in town that did almost everything anyone would ever need. Sadly they went out a few years ago. This is a pic of how I am going to install filter. Hope this helps.

I will be ordering my L12 on Monday. Any information on the hyd filter parts set up would be appreciated. What are the oil spec's & quantity for the engine. I want to have that on hand when it gets here.
Thanks for getting back to me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its possible the 2024 L12 may have improvements over my 2023. They seem to be listening and learning as they go. Would be nice if they have added filtration. You should read my post on some flaws with the L12 before you decide.

What did you do with your Chinese baby digger today? page 21, post 203. I hope this helps.

as to your oil, I dont know where you are located or if you intend to use the machine in the winter months, but generally I use 10w40 year round in small gasoline engines. Heat seems to be an issue so that is the thinnest oil I would ever use in my climate. I may have more recommendations on engine oil after using my L12 in summer heat.
Hydraulic oil also has different weights for different climates. if you are operating in very cold temps, AW 24 is available. If you are in average climate when operating, 50F and above, AW46 is my pick.

There are clear improvements in the 2023 L-12 over the H-12 & QH-12. I have no idea why the hyd filter found in the QH-12 did not find its way over to the L-12. I will get it from dealer in Tennessee if everything checks out.
What is your concern about an auction machine?

I am located in north east Tennessee. Temps here can go from the single digits to 85 degrees. I don't anticipate using the machine in extreme temps.

Auctions are often used to sell items that may not be as good as they should be. If you buy a Lemon, you usually have no way to get things made right. I have heard that AGT does not honor warranties on auction machines. I don't have all the answers, but it's obvious that there are some new machines that are built better than others. When I worked at dealerships, it was common practice to send vehicles to auction when they had an issue that couldn't be diagnosed. Some people buy from auctions and it works great for them. I just dont feel that lucky.

Who was saying there was a concern with an auction machine - I looked back but didn't see anything. Are you planning to buy at auction? Is there an auction near enough to you to not have to deal with freight shipping? What are you figuring on paying? I did a quick search to read a little about the L12 and noticed there is a seller in TN advertising the 2024 L12 at 6k. I'd be surprised if they weren't willing to negotiate.
