Ain't it great to have a Yanmar

I too would own all diesels if I could, as a matter of fact whenever I can afford too I'm gonna buy a VW diesel. And my YM 2000 sips the fuel!!!!

My x-wife bought a VW deisel Rabbit and she has had it a year with no problems and gets between 50-60 mpg

Since the Yanmar fuel usage was brought up thought Id post this.

I checked my tank with my stick before working it 3 hours last weekend moving super heavy 30" green Oak rounds and a few 1200# logs out of a shelter belt out to a trailer on the road 100 feet or so away for a friend.

I started out with 1/2 tank and when I unloaded it at the shop it had 3/8. So I used 1/8 tank for 3 hours of solid running shuttling back and forth not hard pulling but higher rpm's and some idling.

So by my estimate I used aprox 1 gallon the tank holds about 8-8.5 total thats pretty impressive and inexpensive machine operating expense imo. fwtw

I've never owned a Yanmar ,but do keep this in my pic/file from a TBN member here(forgot which one). He also made dirt scope himself I believe. Just thought it was a clean cool pic(tractor).
