Sprayer Airblast Sprayer

I'm planting a small vineyard and will be in the market for a small airblast sprayer. I think I need something like the Arbus 200.

They aren't cheap, so I'm wondering if anyone out there might have other recommendations, or know of where I might find a used one.

Go to your dealer and buy a new one. If they are for sale used it is usually because they have seen the better part of their life a long time ago. You can find them still but it is hard to find someone who will tell you honestly what has been in them and then you will also have quite a few repairs to make. It is much easier to just buy a new one and not have to worry when it comes to air blast sprayers.

Best way to know what you need is to talk with other vinyard growers and/or your local agricultural extension service. Windblast sprayers are good for tree fruits and nuts - vinyards may want a machine with lower air velocity. You'll want to include concentration ratios in your plans so the machine is nozzled right for your tractor speed. Extension service publications help with that too. It takes a bit of doing to get an efficient set up. Maybe you know all this already. Take care, Dick B

Almost all of the vineyards here use air blast sprayers. If you have too much air you can turn down the RPM's to reduce the amount of air. The biggest thing is calibrating the sprayer but there are a lot of good guys out there that will help out someone if they needed help.
