- Renault 540 rx ares
Hello everyone,
I am new here and I hope you can help me with the following problem
A few days ago, immediately AFTER switching on the PTO to drive a disc mower (rear) our renault 540 rx ares gave up.
What no longer works:
- driving forwards or backwards
- PTO no longer works
- power steering does not work
what do we have:
- oil pressure transmission alarm
- sporadic oil temperature transmission alarm (also when cold)
- frequent undervoltage battery alarm
what did go shortly after the incident:
- driving half a metre forward or backward, the more gas you gave, the slower it drove, until it stopped (we're talking about 1 km/h)
- the lifting arms still went up and down, now it doesn't.
what have we checked:
-oil level is perfect (and clean oil)
- oil filters have been checked , both look good (not collapsed and not saturated)
- fuses checked , all ok.
Now I have no experience with Renault (I do have experience with Fiat tractors) so I wanted to ask your opinion here what could be the cause of this before I start tinkering.
what could be the cause here?
the transmission hydraulic pump? the clutch? other possibilities?
Thanks in advance for your opinions!
Kind regards
Tim
