Glad to hear they got you back up and going. Now go and get to work
I am glad to hear yours is running again. Our POS Mahindra was broken worse by the last dealer after a three week wait. So, we took it to the other dealer, only 120 miles round trip from our barn. With the promise that it would be fixed within a week, unless it was something major. He has too many tractors in the shop and hasn't been able to fix it yet.
Our selling dealer only has a part time Mechanic(Four week wait to get it in) so we have to haul out to one of two dealers and they both suck. The last one charged us to break it worse than it was.
They must truly sell these POS's out of barns and not care about the customers after they get their money.
One of my worse mistakes ever was buying this thing. If anyone wants a 6025 with a FEL let me know before buying. I feel for you, you have three of them. I am glad we only have one to get rid of.
Dingy, I would think by now that you would be so disgusted that you would just leave your POS Mahindra 6025 at the dealer and let them keep it. After all, you know that you are going to have to pay someone to take it off your hands. Why bother spending good $$$$ after bad?
Cut your loses and move on for goodness sake, life is to short.
Good luck with your next machine, whatever make it may be.![]()
My only real gripe is the time frame it takes to get parts sometimes. I think anyone would assume if they spent the kind of money I have with my dealer that he would eat a little shipping cost to keep me happy. After all in 5 years I have purchased three tractors from him. I'm only 35 and I seem to replace or add to the tractors on my place every few years so it would stand to reason I'll buy more somewhere. As I said my dealer was away for the whole week and I think that may have had something to do with the delay. At any rate all mine are running fine now and I really shouldn't take any more time away from getting caught up on what I have to do!
By the way what will you take for that tractor you have?
I not been around in a while. But ours is back home again.
It is also broke again...... Not the fault of the last dealer, but the last one saying no problem found on this problem.
We do have another tractor at the barn now and a case skid steer, while nasty doing it, can load horse crap while the Mahindra is down yet once again. It did better this time and lasted three days back from the shop.
My main problem is that Mahindra allows a selling dealer to only have a part time technician. Our tractor is a 6025 apparently it was the first one(At least one dealer said it was) and it has some major first one problems. I have not experienced the problem with parts, I am in Houston, TX(I10/BW8 west, our barn is just down the street from Mac Haik Chevrolet's PDI department) so the distribution facility is near here. There are NO excuses on parts.
My other half is in the auto industry and they can get any part within 24 hours usually if it is a current model. I was on the phone with one of the dealers that was arguing with me that three weeks down before the technician even looked at the tractor wasn't a problem. I looked in the shop records at my other half's place and they had ran 1100 tickets so far that week and the longest any factory warranty vehicle had been in the shop was 72 hours for the month. Yes, they have problems or they are placed in a rental car at our cost for the first 24 hours and gm's cost the rest of the time.
Most of the customers at the store get a survey after a car has been in for warranty service. If those surveys don't come back with a certain CSI score or better the store gets penalized. The bonus for the dealerships can make a dealer either have a profit or lose money. We suggested this to Mahindra after one week of buying the tractor having it run for one day and then break and it be down for two weeks, they said their customer service wasn't of our concern.
At that moment, I thought oh crap we screwed up in buying this. Spent some money with the attorney seeing if we could get out of the thing, unfortunately we were stuck with it. We had gotten to use the tractor for under an hour and owned it for three weeks at that point.
I got to the bottom of the problems with the third dealer that is 75 miles one way. 300 miles for a drop off and return repair trip, far too much driving. The first of this year, all of their parts and service people left to open a competing store down the street and they hadn't had time to get up to speed. So I will forgive their wait time of two weeks this time.
The other dealers in this area are just terrible. Example we have a friend that has a JD at his ranch that he broke being stupid, his fault totally, even he said it was stupid. He took the Tractor to his selling dealer and it was back in 36 hours with a hard part fixed. He said they had 10-12 bays with tractors just flying in and out over there. I went down and saw it, and he was right, looked like the auto shop. On top of that they warrantied the whole thing saying just don't do it again. Our Mahindra gage cluster went out at 9 months old and it was always a two to three week wait to get it in until it stopped totally and we had to take it in. Now Mahindra won't warranty it. Also one dealer "fixed" our pto, but did it wrong so we had to get another dealer to fix it correctly and replace parts that were also broke because some screw or something was left out.
These other dealers knew we were looking at buying another barn and at least one other tractor if not two. Our tractor being down has changed at least one sale of a 7520 to a friend that has a ranch and was going to buy one from the dealer that has a part time technician. Until he found out about our experience. Unfortunately he does not have the time or the equipment to tow that kind of tractor around without paying for it to be done so he is waiting for now.
I am going to call Top Flight as they have been decent on Monday, if I can't fix the problem this weekend, and send the tractor back up there. I will know more soon and see if there is an improvement.
I don't remember what we paid for the tractor, but I am certain we over paid we walked in asked what the price was. Went home got our trade, had it appraised and then said we will take it. We didn't even shop the local dealer.
Also if someone want to pay fair market value we will sell it for that, but I have a M82A1 that I will shoot the **** thing with before selling it for 2k. Just for sheer entertainment. Then post it on you tube as a statement that I would rather ruin it than to burden anyone else with its problems. I tell you what DU rounds can do some damage. If you want to make me a serious offer it is a 6025 with FEL and ~450 hours PM me.
I am tired and haven't reviewed this post fully so please forgive any tiredness problems.
Cheers,
TD
