Allis Chalmers 200 disk - thoughts?

I found a AC disk about an hour from me on tractorhouse.com. I know nothing at all about this model and a google search has turned up little. Any thoughts on this disk? See it here: ALLIS-CHALMERS 200 Disks For Sale At TractorHouse.com

Is this something I should drive an hour to check out? I have 33 acres, 20 of which I will plant. I need something that will work on semi-sandy soil with few rocks. The soil has not been broken recently other that what I have grubbed mesquite from.

i am no help for you

at first glance i thought it hooks up via snap coupler. but another glance it might just hook to draw bar. i honestly do not know. if it is snap coupler setup, then you would more likely need a allis chalmers tractor. with snap coupler. if it just hooks to draw bar you might be ok.

for more help for members here, i would suggest posting your tractor specs. model / make.

another thing is i might advise looking into something that you can raise via hydraulics. *looks like* rear wheels raise and lower by a crank. while it works, it can be a pain.
