<font color="blue"> </font> one sold for $2551-had o.k. paint, straight body, and pretty decent tires. description said it belonged to a golf course that was being developed into housing, so that means it either always had it's maint. done, or was completely neglected. the other sold for $3751 had very nice paint and a trip style loader.
<font color="black"> </font> Well....that doesn't sound too bad on the prices for the tractors. I know however, that without actually going there and seeing them and hearing them run...and even driving them around a little, it is really hard to bid that kind of money. Someone geographically closer to the seller may have gone and looked at them and therefore, felt more comfortable bidding.
I think for the dollar, the AC D series tractors are a tremendous bargain. Not all have a three point as was previously mentioned, but they are very reliable and parts are available. I wouldn't give ten cents for a loader with a trip bucket, but thats just my opinion. The hydraulics on our D series are a little weak and slow for loader work, but if you add a front mounted hydraulic pump you could have a pretty handy loader tractor. We had a D17 with no power steering before we got our current Series 3 tractor. The power steering is definitely worth a few extra bucks.
The D series tractors we have are not the most handy to get on and off. You sit up high so it is a big step to get to the platform. Some owners have added another step below the platform on the LH side of the tractor. You don't usually mount the tractor from the RH side because the brake pedals and torque amplifier handle are in the way. An inconvenience common to many tractors.
