Ah - for the good old days when regulators had relays and contacts and were the size of a loaf of bread !! You could open them up, cure what ailed them and send 'em back in for a few more laps.:)

I agree with that statement but IC boards has forced us all to become parts changers without expensive factory sanctioned software to diagnose internal voltage limiting resistance in sealed logic boards.

I recommend taking off all of your ground cables on the tractor and cleaning the ends and the places they bolt to completely free of all paint corrosion and whatever else then putting them back on tightly. If I remember right you should have one big one from the starter to the engine and another from the engine block, or frame to the battery. Some models just had one but clean them all whatever you got.
It's almost always the problem I fixed on them when I worked on Kubotas.
