Am I an Internet Paranoid Schizophrenic?

why would they do that?

Just one example. I can look up any property in my Parish (county) and probably many more all over the USA on the local county web site and find out the name and address of the owner, how much property tax they paid last year and all previous years, the valuation of their home and other properties and when they paid their taxes.

I can look at surveys to see if their fences are in the right spots and how many buildings they have on their properties and the sizes and photos from the air.

Not to mention marriage, birth, death and divorce records and tons of others.

I think RadarTech pretty much covered it all, but another thing to remember is that the internet was originally developed to share information - not to keep people from getting it.

Just keep on being a good citizen and only innocuous stuff about you will find it's way into the public domain

Your only true hope of anonimity is to start all over with a new, clean identity - or several :laughing: Then never work except for cash, spend only cash, don't use a phone or internet. Never own property or register a car. In short, you may not exist in the normal sense.

Well, you can't remove yourself from this forum, and you can't start over without a new email address, it's a slippery slope. Better to just not exist :laughing:
