SEEMS as though u are having some problems but as far as the dealer for that tractor goes, i would follow THIS RULE Run don't walk away from that guy!

I guess I'd better back up and state what I know. This is the way it is in OK. There's even a big ruckus between the Indians and the State to who owns my water.

Do I read your post correctly??? They want to put a meter on your well? 

 Don't be surpised, in the not to distant future, that your state may do exactly this. 

Nothing surprises me. In some areas around here, they are charging you a yearly fee to have a septic system. Supposedly, the yearly fee is to have it inspected, but the government official types say even though they are going to collect the fee EVERY year, they are only going to perform the inspections every three to five years.

It's nothing more than a way to get sewer fees from people who don't have sewers-- just another tax...

I went through something similar last year. I actually sent e-mail to this Kioti vendor in Ontario but never got a reply. I then drove to his place and he was pushing me more toward a TYM tractor. I was not too impressed by the environment and the financing was not good. I finally decided for the JD790 and am very pleased (I also looked at Kubota but JD had 0% for 3 years on the 790).
Three months after using the 790, I received an e-mail reply from this Kioto vendor asking if I was still looking for a tractor !

Considering where you are I'm going to believe that you may have gone to the same dealer I went to.... There aren't that many Kioti dealers in Ontario ( 4 I think) and only 1 around Ottawa.... I've looked at the 790 but to outfit it with a BH and FEL I'm close to or just over 30 depending on who you talk to...

I think I may have read somewhere that certain parts of California already tax well water. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I'm not sure of it or where I read it.

It just gets absurd how the Gov't decides to go about funding itself. It would be enlightening and frightening if we ever got to the point of a flat tax at each level of government. Eliminating all these little taxes and rolling into one large payment would really clarify just how much money goes to them. Taxing the water... I don't know about you, but them putting a tax on something like that makes about as much sense to me as taxing us on our grass...
