And it always steams me a bit. 
Instead of getting 'steamed', which accomplishes nothing, if you have an issue with a moderator's action, or inaction, send a PM to Muhammad. If you believe a post needs moderating, click on the Notify Moderator link.

Seems to me that some of us are forgetting that moderators are sort of like judges in a court of law. A lot of the rulings are dependent on the judges personal point of view. we are talking about a discussion group for tractors, and the post that are deleted by the moderators are not of earth shaking proportions. look at some of the big leagal rulings by the supreme court, am sure there are a lot of them a lot of us don't agree with, as some of the judges don't agree themselves.POINT BEING: not any decesion is going to be accepted or endorsed by all members.

Very well said, Frank. Just a couple things. 1. The moderators constantly are talking with one another about how to handle a situation. Many times nothing is done until Muhammad makes a call. 2. This site has been called by many the best moderated site on the internet. I'm sure those writing here don't agree but for the most part this site is pretty well moderated. 3. We do have guidelines, policy, etc. in place to dictate how to handle things. BUTTT.... first and foremost Muhammad trys to keep this site for the people that are on it. If it looks like people want the site to go a different direction he will accomodate that and let us know to let up here and there or clamp down here and there. 4. There are going to be some inconsistencies. That is the nature of the beast with everything in life. Nothing is 100% the same all the time in life. There are variables. 5. Lastly, EVERYONE here is a moderator. If you see something out of line hit the notify moderator button. An email is immediately sent to every moderator, Muhammad, and Hakim. If it's an issue it will be dealt with.

It is obvious that she doesn't always have the wisdom to realize what everyone here at TBN realizes.... In all fairness, On the flip side of this.. I've had posts that in retrospect probably could have been deleted without much to back them up.. but weren't... In those cases.. i guess the mods kept a pretty cool head.

Just so you guys know.. we aren't 'down on mods'.. just voicing our opinions and concerns..

IMHO that is a good way to go. I'm on a couple other sites and a few of them have absolutely cut and dry inflexible rules.. You don't dot your I's and cross your t's exactly.. and the post never makes it pas the 'review' board...

I think the emoticons here are helpfull too.. though some of us forget to use them when we should /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Well guys, I hate to disagree with ya's but management has went against a moderator on my behalf before. So I'm here to say it does happen. All in all this is one of the fairest sites in cyberspace.

If you want to see a site that is run with an iron-fist look no further than ytmag. If you do not go along with their ideas you get blocked from posting. Bad thing is it also knocks out anybody else using the same servers. They also go as far as to stopping you from posting links that they figure takes business away from them.

I've only been around a couple months but I have been impressed with the cleanliness of this board. I make sure I edit out some of my own language that I probably shouldn't use anyway.

I Guarantee though that if anyone posts a thread called; "Show me your Mullet" in the Rural Living section I am going to notifying the moderators ASAP!!! I know Pornography when I see it too. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I didn't mean to say that it never happens.. just that it doesn't seem to happen. I'm sure internally somewhere in the 'belly of the machine' that some things do get hammered out'.. etc. But I'm not running out and buying a lottery ticket or anything /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
