Funny how Ford made the top spot and that's it for the top 10. Or that Toyota has 4 of the top 10 (2,5,7,10). What about the fact that half are made by Japanese companies or that GM, the largest US car company and just behind Toyota as selling the most cars worldwide, doesn't have a single vehicle in the top 5?
Here's a much better list. It's real fault is that when it lists percentages for parts used it combines the US and Canada. Just pick a year and list it by percentages.
Part 583 American Automobile Labeling Act (AALA) Reports | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
Sorry to tell you that the F150 is high up on the list but not at the top. Only 75% of the parts come from the US (and Canada). It's engine and transmission are US made and the final assembly is in the US so it's clearly got a lot of US in it. Unfortunately the American Automobile Labeling Act doesn't require companies to identify parts made in the US vs parts made in Canada, they just get lumped into one. I kind of thought we were two unique countries but I guess not in the eyes of congress.
