Would one drop of Neanderthal blood count for anything?
I've read, many many times that, pre agricultural cultures, hunters/gatherers, had it pretty easy compared to us.Softness isn't about countries. It's about the declining necessity of physical activity to survive. The Neanderthals did not have grocery stores stocked by millions of farmers. They were hunter/gathers running around 24/7 to fight/kill animals for food. The whole human race is becoming softer because advanced technology has resulted in less physical activity needed by individuals.
i've read that much of our immune system can be traced to neanderthalsI've had a few lady friends tell me that the Neanderthal percentage of my DNA is abnormally high..........
After watching MMA fights last night, you can see there’s still some Neanderthal blood out there.i've read that much of our immune system can be traced to neanderthals
I read an article written by an Anthropologist who had studied the skeletons of Neanderthals; seems they were pretty badly beat up; lots of broken bones from hunting large, aggressive animals. It was noted that that they were similar to the injuries suffered by modern day professional rodeo riders.I've read, many many times that, pre agricultural cultures, hunters/gatherers, had it pretty easy compared to us.
Again, time and time again, i've read they worked about 6 hours a day.
LOL ... Yeah the Neanderthals were professional Mammoth riders.I read an article written by an Anthropologist who had studied the skeletons of Neanderthals; seems they were pretty badly beat up; lots of broken bones from hunting large, aggressive animals. Now don't go questioning the neanderthal's work ethicI've read, many many times that, pre agricultural cultures, hunters/gatherers, had it pretty easy compared to us.
Again, time and time again, i've read they worked about 6 hours a day.
Spot on for today. Amazing that is from 1835 !Back to the OP. From 1835 we have this; Somewhat prophetic.
“Society will develop a new kind of servitude which covers the surface of society with a network of complicated rules, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate. It does not tyrannise but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.”
― Alexis de Tocqueville
