I live how that equates to nickel cases ruin dies
Half of my big safari cases are nickel, and most of my revolver brass is or was nickel.. Some of it I old enough that the nickel micron thin electroplating wore down till you see brass the it.
All my dies must be ruined by now ( gasp ) oh the horror!

As a former IPSC/USPSA shooter most of my brass is from "range pickups".. Some my own, but when working stages or tournaments as an Range Officer you are entitled to all the brass that falls on your stage. So I have a mixture of brass to say the least. An awful lot of the nickle brass is half nickle half brass colored due to wear. You don't throw them away until they split or are bulged so bad from shooting in non fully supported chambers that you have to.
