I live how that equates to nickel cases ruin dies

Half of my big safari cases are nickel, and most of my revolver brass is or was nickel.. Some of it I old enough that the nickel micron thin electroplating wore down till you see brass the it.

All my dies must be ruined by now ( gasp ) oh the horror!

As a former IPSC/USPSA shooter most of my brass is from "range pickups".. Some my own, but when working stages or tournaments as an Range Officer you are entitled to all the brass that falls on your stage. So I have a mixture of brass to say the least. An awful lot of the nickle brass is half nickle half brass colored due to wear. You don't throw them away until they split or are bulged so bad from shooting in non fully supported chambers that you have to. I have some that the headstamp is so worn you can't hardly read it from recoil against the breechface. I picked up a near perfect 1934 FA piece of .45 ACP brass one day. The FA is Frankford Arsenal. and the 1934 is the year Dillinger was running around. It old brass could only talk.

I hear ya. I have 45acp brass that I can no longer read the headstamp.

The last dies I had that wore out were a very old set of pacific. That's been a while, and they digested an awful lot of triple deuce .

It is sorta fun if you like technical things tinged with the possibility of danger. You won't save any money, but you can shoot more for the same price, and you can craft ammo just the way you want it. I started reloading about 55 years ago with my dad, but did not do it after I moved out of the house. I took it up again back about 91 when I started to shoot IPSC/USPSA when I consumed "mass quantity's" of ammo.

Plus even if you never reload, brass=money. You can sell it at gun shows easily. if you saw a handfull of nickles and dimes just lying on the ground, would you pick them up? Why not?

What do you guys use to clean your guns? What I use is ends red to clean them nothing store bought cleans them as good as this stuff. And after cleaning them I lube with tyranny fluid.

I try to avoid mixing Tyranny and my guns personannly

Spell check is great isn't it? Once in a while it helps us, but most of the time it just makes us look like 3rd grade dropouts.
