Hey my 7610 just turned 50 hours and im ready to do the service. I was just wondering how many of you guys use amsoil in your tractors. I also am wondering what really needs to be done the manual said change oil/filter, tranny oil/filter. Also it says to use 10w 30 oil, should I use this or what do you guys recommend. One more think in the manual it says it only takes 3.2 quarts of engine oil with filter, doesnt seem like a lot, but im gonna guess they are right? Thanks guys

Welcome to TBN

I use it and like it. Used if for years. I would do a search (key word is search) on this topic in the lube/oil/fuel forum since it has been brought up more times then Hurricane Rita on the news. Most people will not use it or like it since of the $$$$ per qt issue.

The oil needed is integral to the temps you see. I would look at the pumping temp of the oil and make the "call".

I have used Amsoil for two years now and have noticed that when starting my 2200 in the dead of winter it runs a lot quieter with synthetic than dino. Just my opinion......

have been using 10W-40 and am about to swtich to Series 3000 5W-30 as winter approaches.
I think I found that it took only slightly more than the 3.2 quarts cited.
