Regarding people in the office, exercise and stench.
Once Upon A Time, I worked in Tampa, Florida. During the summer time. Tampa is one of those cities that defines Hot and Humid.

Just stepping outside and you would be drenched in sweat.
I worked with some Europeans. One guy was from Germany, who shall we say, was indifferent to bathing.

Our desks were facing each other but we had over heads so we could not actually see the other person...
At lunch time he would go play soccer, or as they call it, football.
Did I mention this was in Tampa Florida? During the summer? That it was HOT and HUMID?
There was no shower for this guy to use.....
He would come back from lunch and sit in his desk. That was not a problem. Until the AC turned on and the stench drifted to my desk.
Seriously, but I should not have to tell a guy who was out running around for an hour, in the heat and humidity of Florida to take a shower. The other Europeans did not do this, only this guy from Germany. Having said that, back at our office in South Florida we had a guy from Belgium who did not seem to bathe much either. Sometimes he would put his arms behind his head which would act like a fan to blow his "smell" into the office. Nice guy though. He was Flemish so we called him Frenchy.
