Hey Jim,

I saw your post about contacting the Attorney General's.

Also, I would think that it would be a powerful and compelling tool, to contact your Local NewPapers and Radio & Television Stations. And get them to put out a story on this delima/situation, and put out some attention to this matter on the AirWaves.

I think that it is about time for this Fellow/Dealer to Start making an Honest Effort to Repair your Chinese Tractor.

A lot of Public Attention that is negative, is just what your dealer cannot stand. All that he needs is the motivation, and right now, he is simply not motivated. His friends and customers reading your story, just might be the motivation that he needs to get up off his rear end. Or maybe I should say get to work, repairing your Front End.

Remember the Little Story, about the Wheel That Squeaked? It's True, That wheel got Greased and Let the other Wheels, finally, get some much needed Sleep. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Your Project is Worthwhile, and who know's, it just might save someone's Life, that may make a difference for the better, traveling down Life's Long, and Winding, Road.

Keep the Pressure Up Jim. Feet to tha Fire, So To Speak.

Get your tractors running &
Have a nice day,

Jim, just a word of caution. Be very very very careful in how you word complaints publicly against an individual or company. Slander can bite you in the butt big-time so make sure you can prove in writing what you say. I have seen companies retaliate viciously. I speak from experience.

Better Business Bureau is almost useless. Look at the top offenders in your area. They are the stores you shop at all the time. Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Sears, ect ect. Your one complaint means as much to them as toilet paper. When the BBB sends them a letter they have a right to refute your claim and if its your word against theirs then it goes away. It will be hard for you to prove you didn’t abuse it and hard for them to prove you did :) fun eh.

Attorney general only takes on cases that effect the masses. There case loads are completely full. I have filed with them before and get the customary letter that says “unless this effect a certain % of the population in our beloved Washington state then there is little we can do to help”. :)fun eh.

There is very little real protection for customers against crappy dealers and very little protection for dealers against crappy customers. If you need prices on parts to fix your Shibaura (absolutely fabulous tractor by the way) I will help but you have to promise to never buy Vietnam rebuilt crap ever again :) ( I can say that because I can prove it, hehe)

Seems like this is one of those dealers that have been talked about time & time again. Rolling back or installing a new hr. meter to show low hrs. Jim stated the tractor only showed 2 hrs when he bought it. If there is someone out there looking for a tractor , watch out for an old tractor with low hrs. on the meter .Check with one of the dealers here 1 st. Good luck jim

Hey Jim,

Here's another idea also Jim. We could have a call in campaign for you, Jim. If you post this dealers telephone # here on TBN. Then your fellow Tractor Friends here can call this Dealer and Personelly Ask Him, To Please Fix Your Tractor.

It is unbelievable, how much power, peer pressure has, in getting someone motivated.

And if that doesn't do the trick. Then we could get signs and have a get together, in front of his business.

This squeaking Wheel, needs some grease, so that the other wheels can get some much needed Sleep. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi Buck,
They say two gears... I think they are talking about the ring gear and the other gear in the picture.

YES, I promise in front of TBN and God I will NOT buy that type of junk again. I want a Name Brand Tractor with a dealer and dealership I will be able to count on for years.

I have found out that BBB and Attorney General is a joke for consumers. I just wasted my time and energy. So sad that we as customers have NO recourse at all that is valuable... not even attorneys in my opinion becasue most that I know are out for your money as well as some of the crooked dealers.

Sounds like a good ideal... I wonder if the admin would allow that number if I mentioned NO NAMES? What do you say admin... could we get by with posting the phone number only? and maybe the first name of who to ask for?
