Andrew Camarata on Youtube

I mentioned his Social Blade link much earlier in the thread. Only he and maybe close friends know what he makes.

Other YouTubers here can weigh in but about 2/3rds to 3/4ths of the high mark if Andrew's (much larger) channel follows the payments of my channel (although right now due to a lack of advertisers everybody is at about 1/3rd to 1/2 of our high watermark).

The thing of it is when it appears on Youtube it is a write-off. Everything in the video is a write off so for tax purposes who knows how little Andrew is making from YouTube--but his assets are expanding from YouTube. I know I write off 100% of my Amazon and youTube income, but then I'm still trying to get a decent camera paid for from YouTube earnings LOL.

At the end of the day, it would be nice if (Youtube) sucess meant a fat bank account and financial security, rather then having a bunch of old iron sitting around. Never count on success lasting in this fickle and changing world.

I watched quite a bit of his channel earlier this spring, but after watching a couple episodes of him working on his pickup, I concluded he’s a hack, at best. Ripping out the dash and rigging the hvac blend doors was actually painful to watch.

I was already somewhat leery of his “tendency to hack” rather to fix things correctly, but that one put me over the edge.

He seems to accumulate junk equipment, do minimal, and marginal fixes, then run it into the ground.

The absolute best was him making an anjustment to his dash using a Stihl Chainsaw to make a stereo, that was supposed to fit, do so. But he soldered all the connections, because that's important. I agree. lol

I sometimes follow a YTer with 100K subs and she recently said what she makes in a year which is about 20K. So she makes about 1/3rd of the high number guesstimate on Social Blade.
She also said she makes about 20K from Patreon. That may have included gifts from fans....I don't recall. She had some small freelance side jobs she was able to quit and rely solely on the YT. She got in on a lark and never thought of it as a career at first.

Those block walls in his latest look crooked in every axis. At first I thought it was wide angle camera distortion but nope it really did have a hump in it. I never saw him use a string but I'm only about half way through.

I'm happy to be able to watch him for free.
I've been watching him for years.
He and Mustie1 are good bloggers.

I just watched his latest video and determined that every mason that watches that video will die a little inside. He rips through it unhindered by snap lines, string lines, or the use of a level. As a real estate broker, I died a little as well, but God bless Andrew for plugging along.

Andrew hacks on his trucks and builds block walls like he wants to. He's happy, and enjoys what he does..... The truck hack and the wall straightness does not bother him.. he is in his own little world. A world with lots of new tools, a fleet of excavators and assorted other stuff. If he need a lift, crane, or whatever.... he buys it. If it needs fixing, he fixes it. One way or another.....
