Somebody has a series about an old motorgrader up now. I can't remember who.

Yeah I just wondered that maybe the skid steers are built to take that kind of abuse.

Not sure how true the amounts "youtubers" actually make... but I'm guessing he doesn't need to work EXCEPT for content!!

I really wasn't sure about how he dug out that rock ditch. Not trying to second guess him but would have been nice to be able to grow some grass on the area after he was done. Line it back with the "top soil" that was removed... Guess it would have just washed away.
Exactly. He makes a darn good buck from YT for his video content. I don't watch his channel but I hear he's quite popular.

I prefer stuff like 'Smarter Every Day' and 'Lost and Forgotten Places'

I track analytics on YouTube regularly. It is a tool that I use to help grow my small channel. The publicly available analytics are quite accurate in some regards and wildly inaccurate in others.
He had 16 million views last month. His videos are usually long enough to have multiple ads. With almost 1 million subscribers, and that many views the biggest question is where are his viewers? If the majority are in the US, then he is probably exceeding $30,000. Monthly income from YouTube advertising.

Heck of a business to be in. I know that Gly Coolness (his real name) on 'Lost and Forgotten Places' takes all of his YT revenue and puts it back into his mine exploring vids, but his equipment is expensive. He turned his hobby into a full time adventure. I find his video's very entertaining, abandoned mine exploration is very dangerous and it's nice to watch from the comfort of my laptop.

He also has a Flea-Bay site where he offers samples of various minerals he's found in mines for sale. Been one of his subscribers for years.

Plus it looked like pretty soft material; he wasn't digging in virgin dirt.

I dig in virgin dirt with my CTL. I have an excavator and I still do it pretty often. I dug this ditch with mine because there was a gas line in the area and it’s better than the excavator for that. They’re really nothing like a tractor that will bend a cylinder just looking at dirt. View attachment 698433

Yep, he almost made it to 15 years, a pretty good life for a Lab.

I just found out today that Courtney Scott's dog Rosie died on the 5th I think. Only 2½ years old. Courtney is the man who owns Good Works Tractors. He made a very nice video to remember Rosie and posted it on his YouTube channel. Rosie frequently played a cameo role in many of Courtney's videos.

if one lived near or in the woods, this sure would be handy
someone joked that he was single handedly driving up the used equipment pricing in the area...
He's going to need to build some more equipment sheds at the rate he is going.

this is very good but no wonder that rv slide didn't work when he got to the top.
Those rv frames and slides aren't that strong. I love his comment about the
slide after he forced it out: "it's never coming in again"
I've had the same slide controller fail on my on a Jabsco trailer so this all looked very familiar.
Lippert has made some real junk in the past, not sure if they have improved.

I'm surprised he whined about not having hooks on this truck when he could have welded them on himself.
And clearly should have after he wrecked his bumper doing this. Ram supposedly is only one of big three with full frame rails
all the way out to front bumper, so with hooks on them, very strong setup. Kind of surprised he didn't reinforce that winch arrangement.
Bet he works on that this winter.

It's the internet, must be accurate! (LOL)

I view most YT "influencers" as hacks. I get along fine without them.

Fine, you are entitled to your (warped) opinion!

That camper episode...I kept waiting for the bumper to rip off and the truck/camper jackknifing going backwards. He thinks the stabilizer jacks are actually jacks :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: The whole frame brace deal was most likely why that one slide wouldn't go out. I think he tweaked the frame putting it on the blocks. RV's are not made with frames like a mobile home. The slides will start to leak as the mice move in while consuming his wiring. His very patient friend was trying to talk some sense while he was getting all ram rod with the slide.:rolleyes:
