Andy 600 Brush Hog?

Local farmer has a little used Andy 600 brush hog that comes with a new shaft and blades. Asking price is $500. I'm thinking I can get it for a bunch less ($400?)

Use will be about twice a year on 8-9 acres.

I have zero experience with this brand. Good, bad, run away?

Well, supposedly it is a re-branded/made by ????????????? (forgot what the guy said)

In any event, I just came back from inspecting it and buying on the cheap.

It is a 6ft hog with a pretty robust deck and sides. No rust at all (still has original Red paint job). No rust on the underside either.

No play in the gear box and oil is clean.

It also came with a new in the box, complete PTO shaft.

Sharpened the blades while I had it in the air after taking it out of my pick up bed.

For under $500, pretty hard to go wrong, especially since it will only be used 2-3 times a year.

The Andy is made by Lowery Mfg Co (LMC) out of Alabama. Just looked at a step up model called a Clipper. New 5' model was priced at $650. You can find out more about the company if you google it. Could not find alot of specs on products. No owners manuals come with product,just parts list.
