Below are two different pictures. The top one show how I connected chains metal scrap (3/4" hole to accepts the top link pin (you will need a new top pin as opposed to the standard one) which holds the top link, and adjustable slotted metal slits towards the brush hog, so the chain can be adjusted). The chains are fasten to the brush cutter. Now, all I have to do is connect the bush hog, adjust the chains where I want the front edge to rest and take off, see the bottom picture below. In this set up, I can effectively change the position of the ride height of my bush hog. The dealer, assuming he/she has been selling small implements for sometime knows you can order/buy chains like this to allow position control and "use to be" standard on smaller bush hogs like the one shown above.
Not sure if you mentioned this before, but you will most likely want something on the front for counter weight, because the nose getting light. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
