Well kiddies, in 1967 I was in Nam. Retired from the Navy in 1974. Graduated highschool in '54.

I guess I should have known that. My father and older brother were both in (and retired from) the navy. Naturally I joined the army.

I retired an E7 and my observation was that, in general, the best officers were the ones who came up through the enlisted ranks. Thanks for serving!
