With the specs, it should be pretty simple to duplicate. Does anybody have one?

Reading these threads, if one already has the box blade, it would be pretty simple to mount a 2nd blade near the front of the side panels, at an angle. It could bolt on to the side panels for easy removal for normal box blade use. If I were doing it, I'd get some 3x5 angle iron, weld some plates on the end, drill holes through the end plates of both, and bolt it on. A cutting edge could then be bolted to the angle, as in the other posts.

I suspect gage wheels would add more benefit--and I'd likely do that prior to adding a 2nd blade.

But I'd not want to cut up my good box blade to make something new........

I've seen the Grademaster in use and it's pretty impressive. Nothing like a boxblade, and probably nothing that you can use in a boxblade to make one. Two different animals that have completely different designs. Trying to convert the boxblade sounds like a loosing battle.

I'd sell the box blade and buy the steel to build the Grademaster properly and not waster your time doing a half way type job.

Another company to look at for ideas is Roadrunner Construction Equipment - Out Performs Complex Motor Graders on Many Applications. They have a video that they will send you if you fill out the form. I haven't, but it might be worthwhile for you.

Seems to me like there's quite a bit useful in a box blade that's useful. 3PH structure, 2 "blades", and the sides that can be extended with a little more material. Guess it depends on how much the steel would cost for a grader from scratch and the resale value of my box blade. Haven't researched either one.

I think I ordered a video from one of the grader manufacturers. I hope to see the difference it makes installing the blades straight across, or angled.
