I been reading posts as a guest for years (this site is great!) but finally decided to join and post for myself. I have read several posts about this problem but I had a few questions I hope you can help with.
First off, most of the posts I saw stated their wheel fell off? Mine did not. The "housing" split in 2 and I no longer have front wheel drive. My tractor operates fine in 2wd I have even used it to load my truck with the loader MANY times. While I use it there is no noise or wobble or any signs of damage except I dont have the front drive. Is this normal?
Second, the parts diagrams I see list different part numbers for the different models ... 1300, 1500, 1700, 1900 BUT when I click they all say "part number replaced, contact dealer for current part number" I saw a thread in which one member said he found an upgraded one from a 1200 and others said USE IT! Another post said he used one from a 1900? It wasnt clear if they meant the shaft or the entire front end. Are these interchangeable?
I have the 1700 and a guy just listed a 1500 with a bad motor for parts close to me. Will the 1500 parts work? Can I use the axle shaft or do I need to use the entire front drive or ???
I dont want to scrape up the money to buy this thing and find out I cant use it!
