Hi all, and thanks in advance again...I have a 2005 TC33D that has worked very well for us.

Lately, there has been an intermittant problem the past 3 months where sometimes when starting, the ignition will not turn over. No click, nothing.

We have figured that the seat safety switch was going on it. Well today, we turned it off after wrestling with 3,000,000,000 cubic yards (well it sure feels like that much!) of snow, only to have it not start.
And this time, it didn't work after multiple attempts. We ended up towing it out of the middle of the driveway and parking it for the night.

Before today, it would work again if you stood up and then sat back down in the seat. Now, nothing. The lights all come on, and when turning the key,the switch does not click at all.

We bypassed the seat relay switch and it still didn't work. I'm thinking it's another safety switch, but which one would be the most likely?
Or could it be something else? I was so sure it was the seat switch too.

(I like how these things always happen late in the afternoon on a weekend! )

I've been reading through the threads here, but what I turned up on starting problems haven't sounded like this exactly. Most people seem to be saying they get a clicking when they turn the key. We get a click when the glowplugs go off, but nothing upon cranking.

Thanks again for any info.

The seat switch is not involved with the cranking circuit. It is part of the fuel shutoff solenoid circuit. The cranking circuit is controlled by fuse #2 which should be replaced with a 8 amp circuit breaker, the range neutral safety switch, and the PTO neutral safety switch(es). Your operator's manual has a wiring schematic.

Problem solved, and a big thanks to RickB. The #2 fuse was burned out :)o we never thought to check the most simple part first...duh!)
Thanks again for pointing us in the right direction.
Now, back to moving more snow....

Glad to help. When you get a chance, go to an auto parts store (or your New Holland Dealer) and get an 8 amp blade style circuit breaker to replace the fuse. If you are in southern Berkshire County, Pine Plains (NY) Tractor may be closest to you.
