There's a good, intelligent, well informed response, just as I expected!! Excellent work.

Um, what you are saying does have some merit. But there are right and wrong ways to present yourself and your opinions. What your doing is not going to win you many converts as you come off sounding like a jerk and thus the validity of what your saying also comes into question.

Apologize to anyone who may have been offended but if you read the posts and where this went sour, I simply was posting information about each unit. Everyone on here is smart enough to take the information and go check it out for themselves, it was the JD dealer who started harassing me for posting information about the two tractors. In his attempt to hide the facts, you will see he was personally atttacking me. Yeah, maybe it is biased to a brand, but it is all factual information and everyone on here is biased to the brand they own. There should be nothing hidden from a potential customer when the guy is spending over 10 to 40 thousand of his money. Some of the items may or may not be important to him, but at least let him go armed with the knowledge so he can make that decision for himself!! Read the posts, rocky ridge the John Deere dealer started this because he don't want people to make a knowlegeable, well informed decision!!

( Hi folks, just a question to the group.
On 30 to 50 hsp compact tractors, is JD the only make that has hydro and brake pedals set up in such a way that brake steer is easy to do?
I am talking about doing brake steer without the cruise control being on.

thanks again, )

This Kioti ck30 has that feature

Uhmm, last I knew, rockyridge is not a dealer. But if that were to change, I know he'd give us all a good deal. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

JT1972, You are coming off a bit brasher than most do on this board. It would be better if you posted about personal experiences from YOUR tractor, not NH dealer sales info.
Most people that are shopping are going to pick up the sales literature of said machines and make up their own minds. According to all of your posts, you have recently bought at least 2 tractors. If you want people to give any creedence to your posts, put your personal information in your profile.

Brand bias is normal, but after a while a smart person will start appreciating the good things about most all tractors(and stay away from the lemons).

Majority of guys on here are first time tractor buyers and have little or no knowledge on tractors, thus the reason this website was developed. You don't here these guys screaming "don't give me information for comparisons sake". For example, how many people would know what a flow thru radiator is and why that should be important??? I am guessing 90% wouldn't know that information. Here again brand bias, on the NH units from the TC29 all the way to the TC55, they have the flow thru radiator---just like my car. All of the comparable Kubota and JD units do not have this as they are still using a prescreen because of the significantly reduced cost of said item. How many salesmen at the dealership ever mention this, point being, many salesmen don't spend the time on the components or bring any of these items to light. I would rather have someone give me a list of things I should be looking for comparison wise and be able to ask the salesguy about that item rather than have no objective information. Take a look a the items I have stated, these are objective differences that may or may not be important to every individual but they should at least have the opportunity to check it out for themselves. Once they have some of the things they should be looking for in comparing the product, then they can make up there own mind wether or not that is important to them as the customer. This website is for informational purposes to first time buyers to objectively compare brands. I gave an objective comparison of what I feel are the advantages of this particular NH model over the comparable JD brand. It seems that a large majority of the "regulars" on this site are against providing this information to the "new" tractor buyers. Why is that? Because if you base your information on your own personal tractor 100% of the time, there are going to be very few guys that will admit they made the wrong choice in the tractor they purchased...hence the problem going with personal experience only, it does very little for the new guy shopping.

Remember when Ford and Chevy told us Pintos and Vegas were great cars.

Don't believe everything you read. I trust a valid members objective criticism far more than NH sales literature. I understand where you come from but, if we all went only by NH literature...... well I guess I'm stupid for buying a JD. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
