Another Kioti "Won't Start" Thread

Right upfront I will say I am a newbie and electrical issues are not my strong suit.....

My issue is as follows: When I turn the ignition key, I get an immediate buzzing for a couple of seconds (buzz/cranking sound - which from searching posts here I believe to be the starter relay??). This sound comes in place of the "first click"

I then get the "second click" which I believe to be the glow plugs. The engine will turn over, engage and start. Once started, it will run for only about 10 seconds and then stop.

Tractor has 300 hours with no previous issues. It is garage kept and used off/on throughout the year (my rural property and home are in two different states, so it is not a daily driver).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

1 Clean both sides of your battery cables. Pay more attention to the ground on the frame.
2 Replace the fuel filter.
3 Also make sure you are running and additive in you fuel to prevent Algae build up.

I got it running (it is idling now and I will let it run for awhile and then try to restart/etc).

I am not sure I totally fixed my issue however. I have always used additive.

I cleaned the positive and negative battery connections and cleaned the ground connection at the frame and replaced the fuel filter.

After performing the above steps, I still am getting the buzzing noise in place of the first click. After the fuel bowl filled and I bled the air, I was able to keep it running.

Is there any other areas I should clean to correct the buzzing noise? You mentioned both sides of the cables - do you mean I should be working up at the harness end also? Is it the starter relay that is the item buzzing? I can't see it and turn the key at the same time.

Sorry for the questions, but being down without a fully functioning tractor is a bummer.

As an update - after I got is started and let it run, I switched it off and then tried to restart.

I was able to get it running but after 10+ attempts. It gives me the buzzer sound as the first click and then would turnover and run for about 10 seconds.

After numerous attempts I was able to keep it running. Something still not right.

Don't believe the fuel delivery/pump/etc is the issue. I am getting fuel and can keep it running once I get it started.

I am NO expert, but I think the buzzer noise is the cause of my issue. My bigger concern is that I have multiple issues - short/ground connection somewhere and a failing injector pump.

Hoping others have solved the "buzzer" problem and that is all it is.

The buzzing may be relay "chatter". the fuel cut off relay is probably flaking out. see if you an feel which relay buzzes while some turns the key on and off a couple times.

I would pull the switch out and clean it.

1 disconnect battery and remove sw. by unscrewing ring,then disconnect from wiring harness.
With sw in off position take screw out,take off white cap ,remove copper disk and clean with Scotch Brite clean terminals inside black part of sw.
Blow out with air,put a small dab of moly grease on disk only and wipe off reassemble in reverse
