I keep a tac light with a glock 40 cal mounted to it for situations like that.
I hope you don't mean you are using that to light the situation. Pointing a firearm at someone just to put light on them is very risky...not only illegal most places but if a stranger (not law enforcement) on my or my family's land, that I don't know, pointed a gun at me he would very likely be shot!
Huge difference in carrying/showing and pointing.
I have remote property up a long private drive. When I'm there
everyone gets challenged coming up that drive if its not the lone elderly neighbor couple.
When I'm not there all are photographed on a hidden camera
I agree the challenged neighbor's response was weird and would concern me too. A proper response would have been to thank the OP for being pro-active and keeping an eye on things.
I was working in my garage one day and saw a pickup slowly cruise by, came by again really eyeballing my property, third time he did it, I jumped in the car and flagged him down on the next block while he was talking to a female jogger- she was standing back from his car a ways indicating to me she didn't know him.
Turns out he was looking for a lost dog and thanked me for my concern. He lived in the neighborhood and I had met him years before.
Didn't meet him under the best of circumstances the first time either..his dog bit my 10 year old son while he was riding his bike.
That bite was 16 years ago so it wasn't the same dog..guess he still didn't have a clue to keep his dog in:confused2:
