Im happy with it. Unfortunately there is no hour metre or for that matter gauges at all so I cant guage how many hours she has done

The PTO is a three speed. Push the lever all the way down is first.
pull up one click and that is second. Pull up another click
is neutral. All the way up is third. Here is a chart with
the RPM's for each gear.

Don't worry, even the ones that came with hour meters only went to 1000 hrs. so by this point in time it's hard to tell how many times they were rolled.

Thanks for the info I had a play yesterday and am a little more familiar with the levers and what they do now. can you tell me if in your opinion it should be running the 80 weight oil in the trans/hydraulics as per the owners manual or the 30/40 the previous owner has put in

Although its noisey there is no blowby and she is very clean with little to no leakage apart from alittle leak from the 3 point linkage lift control lever so I don't think its done to much. I did notice she has a paper gasket under the injector pump but I couldn't see any shims

The 3 point leakage tends to suffer from the normal leakdown or creaping when the slasher is in the air maybe this is in part due to the thinner oil in the hydraulics

I (and I think all of us here) use Universal Tractor Hydraulic Oil. I buy it in five gallon buckets at auto parts and farm stores, $38.00 to 50.00. Yes I would get whatever you have in the rear end and trans out and get hydro oil in there. I believe 80 weight is way too thick.

Thanks for the feedback. At present she has the 30/40 universal in her my concern was for the trans also.
