Thanks, Bob. As a self-proclaimed liberal utipian idealist, I'd rather see politics not being raised at all. When it is, however, and when it takes a particular slant, I will try to provide some balance.

Foks, here's the point. Bob mentioned in an earlier post that he considers me his friend, and I was honored. I hope he feels the same when I say that he is my friend. We have been corresponding for a couple of years by PM and Email, and have often discussed how much we agree as well as differ about politics. We also marvel that two such opposites can both enjoy the same brands of bbq grills (Phoenix and Weber).

I pledge that I will never start a political discussion on TBN, and if no one else starts one, obviously I'll never be able to respond to one.

Let's concentrate on what has to be done about this tragedy and worry about blame later. It's absolutely incredible what has been accomplished in the last couple of days.

By the way, I just saw an image on TV that could easily have been me: a refugee wading through waist-deep water, carrying all her belongs in a garbage bag over one shoulder and a 12-pack of Diet Pepsi in her other arm. We know what's important!

Bob.........Don....... and all the rest of the members.... I am going to put the final nail in the coffin of this thread. Just my posting to it should be enough, but in case it isn't. I know the true person to blame for all of this. It is Mother Nature, she is the one that has brought this terrible event to our shores. It is she that has shown us that we, as a country are not prepared for a natural disaster. She has single handedly proving that our government leaders from top to bottom are not able to do much more than put lip service on the subject. There is a lot of blame to go around, but for the most part, it is shared equally between both parties, and all the government leaders from the bottom to the President. Each is so busy trying to get their own ideas and ideals passed on, that they have lost sight that they work for the American public, not any one group or organization. Now it is time to put this to bed, once and for all and go back to tractoring...... Junk...

Bob I think you are right that we have strayed a little into politics. Our country has to deal with a huge problem and it is impossible to do so without politics. I have found these threads interesting and helpful to me as I try to get a handle on the situation. This is kind of a backwater thread. There is still all the tractor talk that anyone needs on the rest of TBN . Just like TV you don't care for, the thing to do here is to change the channel and read something else. I think where possible discussions that evolve naturally are the best. At least us kids arn't throwing stuff yet. Shall we move over to the lubricants thread and discuss weather synthetics are better?

Chris
