Here is the Update
I started tearing down my old shed (picture 1)
and ended up burning it to the ground (sorry no pictures)
Then i cleaned up the slab (picture 2)
oct 4th a friend of mine came over and brought his tractor, we moved 15 tons of 53's and the pile of dirt from excavation. (picture 3)
then monday i rented a TBL do tear out my slab (picture 4) and dig my trench (Picture 5) for power and water.
i have never ran a backhoe before and i picked it up very quickly,
And the lesson for the week is:
(drumroll please)
wait for it
when digging with the back hoe don't let the tractor fall into the trench.
I started at the barn and dug a ways then turned around and started at the house, while i was digging i realized i would have to drive over the trench already dug to complete the trench. I was digging along great each time pushing the tractor back with the hoe. I wasn;t watching and the left tires fell into the trench and there i was sitting at an angle, I tried using the hoe to reposition my self but i was tired and it was now dark out.
(sorry no pictures)
Tuesday morning i got up at the first light, i only had an hour or so before i had to return it, I got a railroad tie under the bucket and was able to push the front wheels out, i then placed boards accross the trench and set the wheel down on it, and then using the boom and right outrigger together i was able to pick the back end up and place boards under it. I then slowly picked the back up and inched it over untill the rear tires were on solid ground, i placed more boards over the trench and drove it out. in all i was impressed that it only took maybe 20 minutes to do.
Overall i was really impressed by the backhoe, It dug great and could move the machine pritty easy.
next up is get the wire and water run, inspected and backfilled
