After Shot.
Lessons learned:
1. Wear hearing protection, the
chipper is LOUD!!
2. Wear eye protection, it spits small bits of material back out.
3. Wear a filter mask, it creates a good amount of dust
4. Watch the output chute, (this model in particular) chips can block the chute.
5. Use a tamper if your are putting leaves and small stuff in, it doesn't want to go down without help.
6. Use a leaf blower on the tractor &
chipper afterwards to clean them up.
Comments:
1. Wow!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif It turn small trees into tooth picks quickly.
2. It grabs the wood an sucks it in.
3. It stalled the tractor once. A 7 foot long hard wood tree about 4.5" across was a little too much for the unit to continually cut. The rpm just started slowing down under load. Softer wood that size went down easily.
Finally, I took off the
chipper, the FEL and the MMM chute in about a half hour. The chute will stay off. Tucked the tractor away in my shed with no problem. Unfortunately, now I have to go on a three day business trip. /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif
