My second big concern is that the 7 and a half foot plow is just to big for my tractor, I'll try it out but if it can't push it I'll cut it down to 6'
JB.

Update;
Well I decided not to wait to find out if 7.5 was to big and went and cut it down to 6.5, looks much more proportional to the tractor now, I'm glad I didn't cut more off, seemed like it would not be that big a difference when I marked it but when it was cut it made a big dif.

Very nice.
Wish I had made mine a little wider.
Bring on the snow!

I've used a more traditional tractor 3 point blade. I didn't think they were expensive enough to justify building what you did.

I tried it facing backward and didn't like it in the slightest. I imediatly flipped it around. a dragging back blade is much more usable. That one uses a pin to keep it from rotating. it would be pretty easy to weld up a lever arm to mak it a hydraulic rotate, but there realy isn't a need. I keep it angled to the right, and staart on the left and work my way right for large areas, and make left hand turn to turn around.
I use a standard bucket for cleanup.

This thing costs a whopping less than $50. for the 1.5" steel rod and some welding rods, got the blade for free. Not sure how it will work, kinda an experiment.

I do have a 72" conventional rear blade but wanted to try this. I use the RB both ways, but seems like it is only angled the right way half the time. If I do go back to the RB I will make it power angle for sure.
