From what I've read, if one stings you, it lets out pheromones that others will follow and that's how they find you. Sitting in your cab, no sting, no pheromones.

Far cry from when we'd throw rocks at hornet nests as kids.

Once came across a black snake in a tree while mowing and was closer than I'd like when I spotted him mowing around the tree. Always thought to myself what my reaction would be if one accidently fell on me mowing while under a tree and how much weight I'd loose pretty quickly LOL Don't get me...
