I thought I would share some photos of the 3rd function FEL diverter switch that I made for the joystick on my JD 790.
It is made from a small plastic Radio Shack "project box" and a maintained type pushbutton.
I made the mounting to the joystick shaft from some small pieces of aluminum. I bored the holes to tightly fit the diameter of the shaft. When the screws are tightened the mounting is very secure.
The screws that clamp the halves of the mounting blocks together stop short of going all the way thru, and the same threaded holes are used from the other side to fasten the plastic box to the clamps.
