Any one have a 7500 and wish they had just went with a 2200 or 1800? I know that most never regret having a slightly larger unit (tractor) but there is the case for "more than required".

I have a B7300 (B7500 w/o PS, mostly) and I've never wanted to go smaller. I wouldn't mind going a bit bigger, as a matter of fact, but can't justify it now. I've got mostly rough, hilly pasture so the only mowing I do with my big tractor is brush hogging (I use a lawn tractor for the relatively small lawn around the house). The rest of what I do is FEL work (lots of that!), blading, and backhoe work. Anyway, bigger would be better for me.

The BX2000 and B1800 are darn nice tractors, though, and for a smaller place or different terrain might be a better choice. From what I hear, the BX can't be beat for mowing, and with both of them your center of gravity will be lower, so they'll be more stable. The BX has a backhoe that I hear is pretty good, if that's important. I doubt you could put a 'hoe on the B1800.

You ??? - depends on what you need it for.

What exactly can the B7500 do that the BX2200 can't do?

I believe 7500 can take a BH and a 2200 can not.

To get a backhoe on the BX2200, You have to by the BX22 instead and it comes with the loader and backhoe. There may be an aftermarket backhoe for the bx2200 but it is not recommended by Kubota due to the fact that the bx22 is a beefed up to support the added strain of a backhoe. They are otherwise the same tractor. See the attached picture.

I almost got a BX, then went for the 7500. Very glad I did. A little bigger means bigger implements, more loader capacity, more pulling power... well you get the point. The BX is a nice machine though.

Hi,

I started looking at the bx22...then worked my way up to the B2910.

Nope...only 3.7 acres but I don't regret moving up at all! I guess that means had I bought a b7500 I would not have regretted that either /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Love my B7500. In a week or so it will be a year old. In the 160-some hours I used it, I never once regretted not going with the BX2200. Mowing amounts to 2.25 acres at my place, and another 5 or so for a couple neighbors. The majority of the hours were for mowing, but the FEL got much more use than I thought it would. Other things like the rear blade, bush hog and lift boom also accounted for some of the seat time......................chim

I saw the BX2200 at the farm show in Green Bay last year this time, but bought a B7500 and have no regrets. It handles a 5 foot back blade and a 48 inch brush hog with ease. The loader works fine with a tooth bar.
