Any one have a 7500 and wish they had just went with a 2200 or 1800? I know that most never regret having a slightly larger unit (tractor) but there is the case for "more than required".

Nope... and I looked at the BX22 closely before buying. I have needed everything the B7500 has to give several times.

I'm not sure I would say that I wish I had a BX2200, but I think it would have worked just as well for me as the B7500. Actually, for what I use it for, if the BX1500 had been out that's where I might have started my search and might never have even looked at the B7500. All I really wanted when I started my search was a 4x4 unit due to my slopes and a FEL so I didn't have to push a @%$#@* wheelbarrow any more.....up hill both ways! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I have a 2.25 acre lot with lots of hills, some woods and a load of grass. The ground contact mower on the 7500 does rut up the lawn a bit when it's not absolutely dry. Here are the reasons I talked myself into the B7500:

1. Higher ground clearance - could have dealt with it

2. I felt the B7500 had a more comfortable seating position.

3. No back hoe available for the BX - Better resale for the B7500 which most likely won't be an issue anyways and I wonder if I'd ever get one anyways.

4. That back ward engine seemed strange and I was concerned that maintenance could be tougher as it's put into a tighter space.

5. Separate hydro pumps with more capacity on the B7500 - This one I had no idea whether it would matter or not....still don't know.

6. I just plain liked the looks of the 7500 better. It looks more like a mini farm tractor than a garden tractor on steroids - does it really matter?

In the end I think I would have been better served to get the smaller tractor, save some bucks and get a couple of useful implements. I could really use an aerator and a box blade.

No not at all. My 7500 works just great for me and does everything I've needed it to do. I don't think it's smaller brothers would have worked for me.
