... One time when this happened we went through the trash, all the identifying information had been painstakingly removed however there were a couple of labels where we could make out the name of a nearby street . Contained in the trash also were several amater...

The time spent to dump trash and used cat litter on my place and the neighbors exceeded the time and effort to just go to the near by collection stations.

How much time did the idiot spend removing his name from everything he threw away.....

I noticed that someone a few week back dumped some yard waste near a creek in front of the subdivision that is too our front. After a week the pile was removed. I assume some one saw the dumper and the pile was cleaned up.

What is so pathetic is that all of the lots in that subdivision are are at least 2 wooded acres. The certainly have the space to allow a pile of yard trash to rot naturally....

People are pigs!

There should be a discussion on TBN about this subject.

Put the trash out in the road.

I was doing a demo at a burned out camp on the lake. Had a 40 yard demo can dropped. Next day I showed up and the neighbors had thrown 5-6 bags of trash with lobster bodies in them in my can as well as a couple mattresses.

I took all the stuff and threw it out onto the edge of the road, moved the can further from the road and set rocks around it so they couldn't drive near it. Then posted it with No Tresspassing signs.

A neighbor came over later and complained about the trash beside the road. Explained what had happened, they spread the news. Next day the illegal trash was gone.

We also have an issue with tire dumping here. Folks have started rolling the tires out to the edge of the road and leaving them there. Not uncommon to see 20-30 tires stacked up beside the road from po'd landowners taking them off their property.

I d suggest the game cams. to. Its hard to buy a county road espesially a short cut like that one. Theres a road like that and swamps on either side in alcorn county and tire companies that were collecting the mandatory 1.25 tire fee were pocketing the money and droppin the tires there. I gave a friend of mine that owend some of the land my DEQ inspectors number. They set up a cam and put a tire company our of business.

We ve alot of problems with folks throwing trash in our 35 some odd rolloff containers at work. We cant take house hold stuff. What appalls me is that our town has the ighest point in MS in it wood all mountain. Theres a couple towers on top and its open to the \public. SOme low lifes use a deep ravine on one side of te road mid ways up as a trash dump. The county wont try to stop it. We put up game cames and caught some pics of the people doing it. One was the supervisors son another was someone else of status in town. The sheriffs dept swept it under the rug both times. We never got our pictures back either. We are gonna replace the cams and this time put DEQ on them they dont back down.

Some years ago I watched a mason and his helpers unload a bunch of bricks etc onto an emply lot in a new subdivision near my home. When they were just about done I walked over and took some photos and asked them about what they were doing. It seems we both knew the superintendant of the subdivision and agreed he would enjoy the pictures.

It took them a lot longer to load that stuff up than it did to unload it.

Why wont the county sell the road to you? That seems to be the root problem because you aren't going to stop people from dumping as long as it's a public road. All you are going to do is stress yourself into a heart attack over something you can't control. In the mean time I'd just push the trash off your property onto the shoulder of the road. If the county wants to own the road then let them clean it up.

This sounds pretty cruel- but I gotta say I agree here.

Love the camera ideas - I can tell you word gets arond (at least where I live) of who puts up with **** and who doesn't - Had some spotlighters hitting my house and the game warden busted a couple - Were coming in from a nearby city (run down) and poaching. Well these people must all hang in the same crowd because no more spotlighters for the past couple years. Same with 4 wheelers tresspassing - Knew a guy who spiked a couple and walla no one 4 wheeled on his property anymore - On the other hand I know a club that was afraid to do anything for fear of retaliation and guess what - Still dealing with the 4 wheelers. Gotta stand your ground or scum bags will run right over ya.

Oh and one moe idea - I knew a guy (I seem to know a lot of guys) who had people dumping trash over the side of the road bank onto his property. 50 pounds of roofing nails where they were pulling off and that stuff stopped. The police around here really don't do much - Had some experiences callling them and they act like the person reporting is the criminal - I guess for causing them work.

I live on a dead end road. One day, working in the yard, I saw a pickup truck with 2 guys pull onto my neighbor's property with a load of construction debris. I walked over to the edge of my property, and watched them unload it. After a couple minutes, the stpped and looked up at me, I had my cell in one hand and I had a piece of paper that I was writing on. We stared at each for a minute, then they started loading it back into the truck. As they drove by on the way out, they gave me the "bird". I laughed. Being fat & bald has it's advantages.
