...a 7' landscape rake over a 6' rake? I will be maintaining a long gravel drive and using it to help prep the yard (new house) for seeding. I will be using a 53hp Case 485.

None I can think of given the size tractor you are using. You could easily go bigger.

The only disavantage I can think of would be that if the rake sticks out past the tires on each side, you may hang it on a tree or fence post.

I have 7' rake for my B2910. I sure am glad I got it instead of the 6'. I cannot rotate rake around since I added gage wheels. Gage wheels are to close to tractor tires to use rake in reverse.
